Why did you decide to join Trinity?
In 2008 I moved my family here from Kansas. I needed a job and knew how to weld. A neighbor told me about Trinity so I came and put in my application.

What are you working on now?
Currently we are building Tank Cars.

What has been most rewarding about your Trinity experience?
The most rewarding aspect of my experience with Trinity is the opportunity that I have been given to advance within the company. I started out as a B welder. 1 year later I became an A Welder then I moved into a B inspector position on the Quality team.

I was a marketing and business development manager for Yodock/PBS Rentals, a water-filled barricade company acquired by Trinity

Why did you decide to join Trinity?
After the acquisition of Yodock/PBS Rentals in 2011, Trinity Highway offered me an amazing position within its marketing department. I enjoy analyzing our organizational marketing plans for ways to implement interactive digital marketing and communications

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the development of a new website for the Highway division that reflects our strong market leadership position within the roadway industry.

What has been most rewarding about your Trinity experience?
My role enables me to work closely with really smart individuals in so many aspects of our product development process from ideation and testing, to manufacturing and launching in the market place. Our company and culture is truly that of a humble giant.

When I’m not at work you can find me spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, and volunteering.

What were you doing before joining Trinity?
Before coming to Trinity I was attending Southern Methodist University earning my degree in Mechanical Engineering. Between semesters, the TrinityRail Engineering group hired me as a summer intern. It was a great fit on both sides, so I returned for additional internships during my subsequent winter and summer breaks and then joined Trinity full-time after graduation.

Why did you decide to join Trinity?
Both during the interview process and after starting to work here as an intern, I was very impressed with the employees and management at Trinity Industries. They consistently demonstrated strong values and great attitudes. The work is challenging and interesting and as an organization, Trinity is continually learning and growing. I knew that working for a company with those characteristics would be very rewarding.

What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working with a team to customize a railcar for one of our customers. As an engineer I work closely with our customers to understand their needs, coordinate with our Supply Chain group as they order material, and collaborate with liaison engineers at the plant to improve our manufacturing processes. I get to see the whole operation from initial concept to delivery of the finished cars.

What has been most rewarding about your Trinity experience?
It is personally rewarding to learn something new every single day. Often I’m learning about railcar design or about part of the rail industry, but I also get to learn about the companies that use our railcars and about their products. We touch almost every part of the economy!

What were you doing before joining Trinity?
I retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service.

Why did you decide to join Trinity?
I was looking for a job with a good, solid company. What I found was a home with a family of very smart and amazing people.

What are you working on now?
I work for Trinity Logistics Group, so my main focus is making sure my truck drivers are taken care of. Also, I am a facilitator for the Civil Treatment for Managers/Employees training program.

What has been most rewarding about your Trinity experience?
The most rewarding aspect is being able to travel to the different plants and seeing all of the products that Trinity Industries manufactures. I also enjoy meeting the amazing, hardworking people.
